Susan Maushart, award-winning author, journalist and recovering academic, will be discussing her career as a writer on four hemispheres (right, left, North and South). Please join her for morning tea and inappropriate confidences.
When: Wednesday 19 September 2012, 10am-12.30pm
Venue: Old Senate Room, Institute of Advanced Studies.
RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org by 12 September.
Susan Maushart has a PhD in Media Ecology from NYU, and is the author of five books, including the feminist classic The Mask of Motherhood and the international bestseller and Oprah Top Pick The Winter of Our Disconnect.
She has lectured in media at Fordham University, blogs for the Huffington Post and likes to spend her spare time stalking Alec Baldwin. (It’s really sort of tragic.)
A mother of three, Susan lived in Western Australia from 1986 to 2010, and now makes her second home – with hospital corners – in Mattituck, New York.
